Batik - Shiva Nataraj

Shiva, the God of Destruction, dances his powerful dance of Nataraj - the eternal dance of creation and destruction.

Nataraj literally means Lord of the Dance. Shiva destroys all forces in order to clear the way for new beginnings. Shiva's matted locks are whirling as he dances within an arch of flames representing the endless cycle of birth and death.
